A Professional Limited Liability Company

If you have a business that really only exists to sell or provide professional services, and you are thinking about forming an LLC, you would do it a little differently than other people might. You would be in the position to form a professional limited liability company. This is available to people like doctors, lawyers, architects, engineers, or other legalized or licensed professions. Requirements to be a PLLC will change depending on which state you conduct business in, but usually the state will require that all the members of the same company practice the same occupation. Also, keep in mind that the limited personal liability that is usually given would not apply to malpractice suits against an individual.
