Tropical Fish Food — Feeding Tips

February 19th, 2010 by admin

One of the primary concerns of fish keepers is how to provide the right kind of diet for their fish. For freshwater fish, you should feed them with tropical fish food that has the same nutrients as the ones they eat in their natural habitat. There are many kinds of tropical fish food available, so the first thing you need to do is find out which types of food best suit their dietary need. This would primarily depend whether your fish is herbivorous or carnivorous.

Also remember that when you feed your fish more, it doesn’t mean that they will be healthier.  Overfeeding your fish can actually lead to health problems.  You must feed your fish sparingly at regular time intervals rather than dumping one big chunk to your fish tank. This will not only ensure that they will eat in moderation, but it will also keep the aquarium clean and free from leftover contaminants.
