Religion taught us that after we die our spirits will go to heaven well especially the good guys. Is it true that our spirits travel in a form of astral body even if we are still alive? There are a lot of first hand experiences suggesting us that it is indeed true that our spirits wonder in astral plane especially in  events of near death experiences and sleeping disorders.  In this world where everything is explained by science, it is totally through our own experiences that will make us believe it totally exists. Though the study of astral projection can be dated back in early civilization its real existence is not elucidated by its antiquity.
