Pearls are used in a wide variety of ways in jewelry industry. They’re use for things you’d expect like pearl rings, Pearl Necklaces, pearl pendants, pearl earrings, etc. However there are a mulitude of other uses out there also. Some of the world renowned Faberge eggs are known to have pearls encrusted on them. Recently I came across a small statue of a greek centaur where the legs, arms and head were made of gold, and the torso was made from an irregular baroque pearl. It was amazing to see the creativity of the sculpture and to see how they were able to take something that some would reject due to it’s imperfections and make art with it.
