Colony Collapse Disaster has been affecting our bees since 2006. It is widespread. It can be found everywhere in the world, in the United States, in Europe, in Taiwan. The causes of this phenomenon are shrouded in mystery. We do know however that people who practice organic beekeeping do not seem to be affected or they only suffer a little. Are the bees bombarded by stress and chemicals, as organic beekeepers claim? Or are there other reasons for the collapse? Can we count on science to create medicine? But wouldn’t the medicine cause more stress? It is a tricky question and currently researchers do not have a definite answer.
